The 3-Step Process Tree Loppers Use During Tree Removal

Blog

Removing a tree is more than just cutting it down. The process requires great skill and knowledge to ensure the safety of people and nearby property. A tree lopper's job is to ensure the tree is safely and properly removed without causing damage to the surrounding landscape or property.

Here is a three-step process that tree loppers use to cut down a tree.

An Initial Assessment

This step involves the tree lopper evaluating the tree and its location to determine if it can be safely removed. They consider factors such as how close the tree is to buildings, power lines and other structures. If the tree is too close to any of these things, the lopper may have to adjust their removal strategy. In some cases, the expert may have to use specialized equipment such as a crane.

The tree removal expert also looks at the tree's health and assesses its root system. If the tree is in decay or diseased, the lopper may need to take extra precautions to remove it safely. A decayed tree can easily break off into large pieces and cause damage to surrounding property or people.

Dismantling The Tree In Stages

The tree lopper will then begin to cut away at the tree one section at a time. They do this carefully and methodically so as not to cause any damage to the surrounding area. As each section is removed, the lopper may need to use a crane or other specialized equipment to ensure it falls in a safe direction.

In some cases, they may begin by removing the branches and foliage of the tree first. This makes it easier to control how the tree is cut down and ensures that pieces of wood or debris do not fall where they could cause injury or damage.

Cleaning Up And Disposal

Once the tree is cut down, the lopper must remove debris and dispose of it responsibly. They may need to use a truck or trailer to remove any large pieces of lumber or branches. The tree lopper might also need to use a wood chipper to break down small pieces of the tree.

The debris must be disposed of properly by recycling, composting or taking it to a landfill. The tree removal expert should also rake up debris and clean the area around where the tree previously sat.

The lopper should also inspect the area and ensure there are no nails, splinters or other sharp objects that could cause injury. The tree lopper may also need to remove any remaining stumps or roots to complete the job.

These steps represent the process tree loppers go through every time they remove a tree. With the right skills and knowledge, they are able to provide quality service for their customers and ensure everyone's safety in the process.
